Lehi City Council on July 8 approved an ordinance rezoning about 1.82 acres along the west side of Ellen Avenue, north of Webster Street, from PS (public semi-public) to RSF-7 (residential single-family, 7,000-square-foot standard).
The rezoning, listed in meeting materials as Map-25-0004, came before the council after a Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation of approval, 6-0, on June 16, 2025. No members of the public signed up to speak during the council’s public hearing on the item.
Council members moved and seconded adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried with the clerk announcing the result as “Motion passes 8 for none against” on the record.
The change shifts the parcel’s zoning designation from public/semi-public uses to single-family residential under the RSF-7 standard. Planning staff materials and the commission’s recommendation were noted on the record; the council did not request further study or continue the item. The ordinance citation and effective date were not specified in the meeting record.
The rezoning was taken up as agenda item 7b and followed the public hearing listed as item 7a. Additional background in the packet identified the property location, the map number cited above and the commission’s vote; no other conditions or related development approvals were discussed at the meeting.
Council action summary: the council adopted the rezoning ordinance (Map-25-0004) by recorded motion and vote as announced at the meeting.
