Planning Commission approves lot split at 3400 Broadway for proposed veterinary hospital

The Grove City Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve a lot split at 3400 Broadway that will separate a 0.99-acre parcel from an existing 1.7-acre tract to accommodate a future veterinary hospital.
The commission’s approval followed a staff recommendation that the split be approved as submitted. Applicant Jordan Zickafoos of 7123 Riverside Drive, Powell, Ohio, told commissioners he had no additions and was available for questions. No members of the public spoke for or against the split during the public-comment portion of the item.
The development department report notes the split is being requested to accommodate a veterinary animal hospital and that, if the planning commission approves, the split can be finalized with Franklin County. The report adds that a development plan for the veterinary hospital will still be required and must be submitted and approved before construction begins.
Commissioners Chair Oster, Mr. Farnsworth, Mr. Titus and Ms. Wendlinger cast unanimous votes in favor of the lot split.
The approval is limited to the lot-split request; the applicant must return with a development plan that complies with Grove City standards and any county-level recording requirements.
Planning session minutes indicate no public comment and no conditions attached to the lot-split approval.
