The contract begins Oct. 1, 2025, with an initial commitment for 100 beds at a rate of $102.50 per bed per day (about $10,250 per day for the block rate). County officials described a schedule in which the minimum commitment steps down over time if the county meets staffing and bed-availability milestones: to 75 beds on April 1, 2026, to 50 beds on Oct. 1, 2026, with an option to bring everyone home after the first year with 30 days' notice.
