Commission approves health‑department contract amendments, FTA certification and aging services funding

Brian Hatch of the Health Department presented an amendment to a contract with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services for county public health work totaling $486,649 covering a period beginning March 19, 2025 through June 2026. Hatch also presented a Federal Transit Administration certification and assurance for the 2025 assistance program (covering Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025).
On aging services, the commission accepted a donation from Michelle Nyman of an elliptical exercise machine to the Davis County Aging Services center, described in the agreement as effective beginning July 8, 2025 and lasting for the life of the equipment. Commissioners also approved an amendment to the county's pass‑through agreement with the Utah Area Agency on Aging and the Utah Department of Health and Human Services detailing funding for aging services, noted in the meeting as $2,191,096 for the 2025–2026 fiscal year period.
All four items were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
