KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — Kershaw County Council on July 8 approved on third reading a special source revenue credit agreement with ECM Asset Management LLC and EuroCharm America LLC that county staff said represents a $10 million to $12 million investment and will bring 40 to 46 full-time jobs to the county.
County economic-development staff introduced company representatives before the third-reading vote. “This is a great company that has placed their trust in Kershaw County,” said John Wall, who spoke on behalf of EuroCharm. He said the company will locate at 412 Grove Street in Lugoff and that the facility will be the supplier’s first U.S. manufacturing and distribution site.
County staff told the council the company supplies parts to manufacturers including Honda, BMW, Polaris and Harley-Davidson. The council moved the credit agreement forward by unanimous vote among those present.
Council members and staff thanked the company and county economic-development staff for recruiting the project and noted the local jobs and investment as the primary benefits. No substantive conditions beyond the agreement text were added during the open session discussion.
