"The prosecutor has approved the Fairfield County Jail extension, not a new contract," the official said.
Separately, the county received notice from RG Moore that the senior center’s new bus is in place and the center’s old bus is available for the county. County staff said the vehicle could be titled to the county and stored at a county facility but cautioned that insurance costs are relatively high. Commissioners asked staff to check insurance and usage costs before accepting the vehicle.
