The Town of Hubbardston Planning Board on July 2 elected Chris as chair and appointed Leanne as clerk, both by unanimous voice vote, and approved the minutes from its May 22 meeting.
The board opened the meeting with organization business and a motion to nominate a chair. "I would. Chris. I hear first," a member said when offering a nomination; the nomination was accepted and the board voted the motion carried. Later the board nominated and confirmed Leanne as clerk; she accepted the nomination. The board then moved to accept the May 22 minutes as presented in the meeting packet and approved them without amendment.
Newly seated member Carpenter introduced himself after the organizational business, giving a brief summary of his professional background in pharmaceutical development and patent law and noting previous planning-board experience in another community. The chair welcomed him and the board returned to its scheduled public hearing business.
