Committee approves transfer of liquor license for Bazinga at 1110 Kellogg Avenue

The Janesville Alcohol License Advisory Committee voted unanimously on July 1 to approve a Class B combination fermented-malt-beverage and intoxicating-liquor license application for Bazinga Janesville LLC, doing business as Bazinga, at 1110 Kellogg Avenue.
Committee members were told the applicant, Jose Massas Caraballo, provided a complete application, is registered with the state for a seller’s permit, supplied a pending offer to purchase the property, and presented a relinquishment of the previous license conditional on issuance. The Janesville Police Department reported no objection to the appointed agent, and staff recommended approval.
Caraballo told the committee he expects to keep most existing staff, add menu items and entertainment, and pursue a back patio in the future pending approvals. The committee opened and closed the public hearing with no members of the public speaking and voted to approve the application. The approval will be forwarded to City Council on July 14 and is expected to appear on the consent agenda.
