During subsequent remarks commissioners and staff said the water- and sewer-plant projects are large undertakings that will take time and regulatory review to complete; one meeting speaker estimated a modern water plant cost in the "north of $65 million" range in today's dollars. The manager said staff will prepare letters of thanks for the chairman to sign and will coordinate with state partners to deploy the funding.
