Staff told council the change order keeps the overall project under budget and is still lower than the second-lowest contractor bid for the added work. Council approved the change order by voice vote (recorded as passing 6-0 in transcript).
What's next: The city manager is authorized to execute the change order and the contractor will schedule the curb and gutter replacement to match the existing recently completed section and to complete concrete paving of the corridor.
