The staff report and the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval. During the public hearing, the applicant's engineer, Joe LaCroix of Barrett Hampton Brown Engineering, spoke for the developer and said the project will use a single access driveway to Highway 377; he said the developer is working on cross-access with the adjacent Marshall's frontage. No members of the public spoke in opposition.
What's next: The zoning change clears the way for the applicant to proceed with engineering, platting and permitting. Staff noted that site-level engineering and the curb cut onto Highway 377 will be finalized in the development-permit process.
