The Plan Commission approved a site-plan amendment allowing a roughly quarter-mile compacted-stone pathway on the Manitou Equipment America LLC site to facilitate moving equipment between test tracks and to limit erosion.
Staff said the pathway will run between the northern and southern test tracks and does not require major regrading, but it does affect the site’s stormwater management plan. The commission’s approval was conditioned on the applicant obtaining a stormwater-management amendment prior to completing the pathway.
The applicant’s materials described the path as compacted stone intended to prevent mud and erosion created by moving equipment across the site. Staff recommended approval with the stormwater condition; the commission granted the approval.
