The resident asked the board to reconsider, saying the naming "should be a moment that unites us, not one that confuses or divides," and urged accountability and additional reflection. The speaker suggested an alternative name, "Frontier Falcon Learning Center."
The comment was part of the meeting’s "privilege of the floor" public comment period. The board proceeded with the consent agenda item (8.7) immediately afterward; the consent item and other business were approved by voice vote.
