Board approves 2025 Educational Facilities Master Plan for state submission

The Queen Anne's County Board of Education voted June 18 to approve the district's 2025 Educational Facilities Master Plan (EFMP) for submission to the state.
Darryl Bridal, supervisor of facilities and design, said the draft EFMP was posted for public review and produced one public comment that identified typographical errors; staff corrected those errors. The board also incorporated a board president’s request to reassign Fox Farms to District 1 in the final document. Bridal said the plan received Department of Planning and Zoning review and Maryland Department of Planning approval for the district’s 10-year enrollment projections; with board approval the document will be submitted to the state to meet the July 1 deadline.
A motion to approve the 2025 EFMP for submission to the state carried by voice vote; no roll-call tally appeared in the transcript.
