The Building and Grounds Committee approved a late request from Crush Wine Bar to use three parking spaces in Parking Lot 3 (Clock Tower Parking Lot) for outdoor tables and chairs during Friday Night Live events.
Craig (staff member) said the bar had paid the required fee and that Police Department and other staff provided no objections. Committee members confirmed the lot fills quickly on Friday nights but said three spots would not unduly affect the event. “I don’t think it’s gonna hurt. I’d be in favor of them having a little outside presence,” one committee member said.
The committee approved the extension of premise by motion and voice vote; staff will notify the applicant of the decision and any requirements for barricades and public‑safety accommodations.
