The mayor said he will appoint Patrick O’Shea as an alternate to the Design Review Board and will read the appointee’s background at the next meeting. He also said the city has received a donation of chairs from Belmonte for the 9/11 remembrance ceremony; the council will consider accepting that donation.
Other items on the mayor’s list included a payment adjustment to Barton and Le Judas (a final invoice amount was described), a $200 donation from Stewart’s for ice cream at Big Truck Day, and authorization to apply for a Pro Housing Community grant for infrastructure tied to proposed Liberty workforce housing on Crescent Avenue. The mayor also listed a payment to Hinman Straub for legal work ($7,925) and said he will add a one-year contract for labor-law legal services to the next meeting’s agenda.
No votes were taken on these items at the present session; they are scheduled for consideration at the council’s next meeting.
