City of Anna warns drivers: US 75 detoured to frontage roads overnight July 1–2

Greg (staff), reading an email the city received shortly before the meeting, said the detour will begin on the southern end of the city and staff did not yet know whether traffic would be forced to exit at the Collin County Outer Loop or State Highway 455. On the north side, the detour plans listed County Road 371 (the Mantua Parkway exit) as a listed detour point.
"I would expect this to have significant traffic impacts and... major traffic congestion on those frontage roads," Greg said, and recommended that residents "try to avoid US 75 basically, from our southern border to our northern border from 9PM tomorrow night until 5AM Wednesday morning."
City officials warned that the detour could cause significant backups on frontage roads within the city limits. The transcript does not specify whether city traffic-control resources or alternate routing signage would be deployed, nor does it say whether the detour will recur on subsequent nights.
Residents planning travel through Anna during the overnight window should expect delays and consider alternate routes.
