Selectmen approve tax abatements, warrants, water bills and event permit; deny one abatement

The Ossipee Town Board of Selectmen on an unspecific date approved a group of routine fiscal and administrative items, including five clerical tax abatements, multiple warrants and two tax-deed redemptions, and approved a notice of intent to cut wood on a private lot. The board also denied one abatement request that town staff recommended be refused.

The board approved five clerical abatements covering properties on Stoneview Road, Lakehouse Lane and Gretchen Road. Selectmen moved and seconded a single motion to accept and approve all five abatements; the chair called for the vote and members responded, “Aye.” The abatements included a refund of $1,281 plus interest for Map 272, Lot 3523 (Stoneview Road) and a refund of $1 plus interest for Map 49, Lot 003, Sub 001 (12 Lakehouse Lane).
