Lago Vista charter review panel recommends dozens of edits, urges staff follow-up

The Lago Vista Charter Review Committee on Tuesday delivered its final recommendations to the City Council, urging continued committee work and flagging several proposed charter edits for council and city attorney review.

The 10-member committee — chaired by Linda Ayre with Robert Owen as secretary — presented 29 recommendations that range from technical streamlining to more substantive policy proposals. The committee asked to remain available through the end of 2025 to answer questions and to produce a lessons-learned document for the next review cycle.
