A presenter identified as Mister Moore described the grant and said the county expects federal and state funding pressure that may affect future grant levels beginning in January, but the current agreement funds routine preparedness activities. A motion to approve the agreement was moved and the committee approved the authorization.
The committee did not discuss specific dollar amounts or detailed training plans in the portion of the meeting on record; staff said the program is funded through the annual state grant and will continue to train and maintain the county's volunteer medical reserve corps.
