Council to revisit $4.68 million police station GMP after solicitor review

An unnamed council member said the GMP amount is unchanged at $4,680,000 and that the amendment is currently in draft form with the solicitor. “Once it’s under review, I am going to resubmit it to the council for the next meeting, July 10, and then we’re gonna vote on and I already got approval to sign it,” the council member said. The presenter added they would not sign the clarification document without the public knowing what it contains.
The council member said, assuming the document is approved by the solicitor and the council authorizes signature, the town plans to begin site work in July. “So right now, as long as I get signed, we’re putting a shovel on the ground July,” the presenter said, adding that the solicitor’s review could reverse items in the draft.
