Design Review Board approves meeting minutes, continues Rembrandt Drive item to July 10

The Laguna Beach Design Review Board on June 26 approved minutes from its April 24 meeting and from May 8, with one member abstaining on the May 8 minutes.
Chair Gibbs opened the item and clarified the board’s process after a public email questioned the April minutes. The board then voted on the consent calendar. Board member Bauta abstained on the May 8 minutes because she was not present at that meeting. The roll-call vote recorded four members voting yes on the May 8 minutes and one abstention; the April 24 minutes were approved unanimously.
Also on the consent calendar, the board considered item 5.1 (945 Rembrandt Drive, Design Review 25-0614 and Revocable Encroachment Permit 25-0616). With no applicant present and no public testimony, the board approved staff’s recommendation to continue that item to the July 10 meeting.
The board’s procedural vote on minutes and the short continuance reflect routine administrative business on a meeting that included several substantive design-review decisions later in the evening.
The board will meet next on July 10 in East Chambers.
