Ken-Caryl board approves audit, supplemental budget and committee appointments in unanimous votes

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Board of Directors voted unanimously Thursday to accept the district’s 2024 annual audit, adopt a supplemental 2024 budget appropriation, update the plan coordinator for the district retirement plan administered by MissionSquare Retirement, and approve a slate of committee and officer assignments.
The board accepted the audit prepared by Haney & Company and authorized Haney to submit the audit to the Colorado State Auditor. Whitney Rosenfeld, audit manager for Haney & Company, told the board the audit is complete and that the firm’s opinion is “an unmodified opinion, which is the highest, cleanest opinion you can get.” The motion to accept the audit passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote.
