City announces Reyes Adobe Days weekend, Chaplain Phil Reeves and Deputy Darcy named grand marshals

City staff told the council the 21st annual Reyes Adobe Days will be held the weekend of October 2025. Recreation Manager Nick Newkirk and Director of Community Services Amy Brinker introduced the event and announced Chaplain Phil Reeves and Deputy Darcy (a Los Angeles County Sheriff27s Department facility dog) as grand marshals.
Newkirk said Reyes Adobe Days is now a year‑long effort for the department and that the city will highlight the grand marshals on the event website, which staff said will go live July 1. The city announced Second Dental as the title sponsor for Reyes Adobe Days; staff said the full event presentation and executive‑committee details will be brought to the council in August.
Registration for event activities including a run and Night at the Adobe will open July 1 at reyesadobedays.org, staff said.
