Public works: Main Street railroad project complete; Old Town sidewalk heat damage to be repaired

Council members raised a separate safety concern after noticing a buckled sidewalk in Old Town that staff attributed to a recent 100-degree day. Director Stone said the damage is consistent with heat-induced expansion of concrete which can "blow up" and that the section has been barricaded. "It's barricaded off. Right. And we're gonna get, get that fixed," Stone said.
Council members asked staff to prioritize the repair because Old Town pedestrian routes are used regularly; staff said they would schedule repairs and follow up with a timeline.
