L'Anse Creuse names Nick Alul principal of High School North

The L'Anse Creuse Public Schools Board of Education approved the appointment of Nick Alul as principal of L'Anse Creuse High School North on June 23.
Administrators said Alul was recommended after an internal and external search. The district received 21 applications, screened candidates and interviewed seven finalists; the administration described Alul as a collaborative, solutions-oriented leader with eight years as an associate principal at High School North and 15 years of experience as a math and science teacher in the district.
The administration recommended board approval; the motion to appoint Alul was made by Mr. Doss and supported by Mr. Davila. The board approved the recommendation by voice vote. Alul addressed the board and described his priorities as building on the school's positive culture, strengthening relationships and supporting staff and students.
Alul said the role is personal: he noted he has been in the High School North community for 25 years as a teacher, coach, parent and administrator and emphasized presence, listening and partnership as his priorities. He thanked the board, the interview committee and district leadership for their support.
