When asked about rent, McHugh described the fee as "nominal," stating it is "like $10 a year, or a dollar a year," and clarified the leases are for district space used by the nonprofit organizations.
The board voted to renew the Missoula Education Foundation lease (elementary and secondary). The motion was moved by Trustee Walsh and seconded by Trustee Witt; the public record notes the item was "approved by those trustees and 1 abstention." The board separately approved the lease renewal for Spark Arts Ignite (elementary) on a motion by Trustee Wake, seconded by Trustee Hayes; that item was approved by the trustees present.
