Elkhart County commissioners on June 23 approved an amendment to previously authorized out-of-state travel for two judiciary employees so that claims for the trip could be paid.
Ross Maxwell, court administrator, told the board the conference dates originally approved in December were listed as April 28–30 (transcript references 28th–30th) but the actual travel occurred May 25–31. Maxwell said when the office manager submitted claims, the changed dates prevented payment because the paperwork referenced the earlier dates; commissioners approved amending the recorded dates so claims could be paid.
The motion to approve the amended dates for Justin Minder and Gloria Navarro carried unanimously with a standard motion, second and voice vote.
