Aspen/Pitkin Airport unveils 'Fly With Integrity' noise monitoring program with eight permanent monitors

Pitkin County and Aspen officials reviewed a new voluntary “Fly With Integrity” program for the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport at the board’s June 24 work session. The program expands permanent noise monitoring, scores aircraft operators on multiple noise measures and seeks voluntary commitments to reduce noise and emissions.

“Whether in the air or on the ground, we hope our owners, operators, both commercial and general aviation, pilots, and ground crews will participate in flying with integrity,” said Valerie Braun, member of the airport advisory board, detailing the program the board developed with consultants and local volunteers.
