Library staff said the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant that previously subsidized the statewide interlibrary loan program and some Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) database bundles is “in limbo,” and that libraries statewide are considering options ranging from charging patrons for courier costs to suspending ILL. “They basically said we probably will not be able to fund interlibrary loan next year so we need to do it ourselves,” an unnamed staff member said during the meeting.
