Casey Moore, Edmond's director of management services, reported on the city's water-treatment plant expansion during the May 20 strategic-plan workshop.
Moore said phase 2 construction is progressing and is scheduled for completion in February 2027. He said phase 3 design work is expected to finish by the end of this year and be put to bid in early 2026. Moore stated an approximate figure of $192,000,000 for the upcoming phase but cautioned that final costs depend on bid results.
Moore told council staff are monitoring costs and that firm figures will be known once phase 3 is bid. No formal council action was taken during the workshop; staff are to return with updated numbers and schedules as design and procurement progress.
