Other motions approved without extended debate included: - Approval of the third-quarter fiscal year 2025 compensatory-time payout. - Approval of an agreement with Tyler Technologies for defendant access payment software (presented as provided at no cost to the county). - Authorization to initiate contract negotiations with the highest-ranked vendor from RFP 2025-12 for janitorial services (two finalists named: Ambassador Cleaning Services and Premium Cleaning Services/PCS). - Approval of a total-loss settlement from the Texas Association of Counties for a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe (VIN ending in 300623) and declaration of the asset as surplus for disposal. - Authorization for the county judge to sign a lease-purchase proposal with Cadence Bank for a Caterpillar motor grader for Precinct 4 (presented as a five-year lease-to-purchase with an $80,000 down payment leaving $225,701 to finance). - Release of bid 2025-15 for a pre-owned tandem drum roller for Precinct 2. - Approval of a replat (Murphill Edition Block C Lot 10R-1 in Precinct 4) and approval of a short plat (Shannon addition in Precinct 1).
The court voted to go into executive session pursuant to Texas Government Code section 551.071 to consult with attorneys on pending litigation. After returning to open session at about 10:35 a.m., the judge announced that there was no action to be taken and adjourned the meeting.
