This new policy states that votes can be held during the all virtual public meetings," Nathan told the commission. He also said the new policy permits remote participants in a hybrid meeting to fully participate, including making motions and voting, and provides a caregiver exception for remote participation during in-person meetings.
A commissioner moved and a second was recorded. The motion to adopt the policy passed on the voice vote recorded at the meeting: "All those in favor, say aye." The chair then asked, "Anybody opposed?" and hearing none the chair announced the policy adopted. The motion was procedural and documented in the commission minutes.
