At the June 17 public forum representatives from CP Mentorship presented an AI meeting‑minutes summarization project they developed for the City of Sunnyvale and described their work posting summarized council meeting minutes online to make meetings more accessible.
Rania Zhang and Hanyi Yuan summarized the project: they used transcription and LLM tools to convert multi‑hour meeting recordings into concise PDFs and web pages so the public can more easily access meeting summaries and agenda information. The presenters said they had posted recent Sunnyvale minutes to their website and offered to share technical details; they noted they had provided a PDF to Milpitas staff in advance.
Another speaker, Annie Yu, described the group’s Clean Energy and Art mural projects and said CP Mentorship seeks to pair civic tech with community arts and outreach. Council did not take action; the presentations were recorded as public forum comments and staff indicated they had received the materials.
