Butler County officials receive architect update; construction manager to deliver cost estimate this week

Officials from Butler County met and received an architect update on a construction project and approved the minutes from the May 20 meeting, the transcript shows.

The architect’s office sent drawings to the construction manager "on the second" to begin an estimate, and the designer expected the estimate to be complete "on the twentieth," with a design-development review package from the AOC scheduled for June 23, according to comments read at the meeting. Tommy Gumb of Alliance Corporation said the construction manager is finishing that estimate "today," and that the firm expects to distribute it "to everyone by the end of this week." "We are completing that estimate today, so we hope to have that or we'll have that distributed to everyone by the end of this week," Gumb said.

County officials said the incoming estimate will be combined with architect fees to determine the total project cost and to prepare a plan of finance. Meeting participants said RJ will forward the revised use allowance and the assembled cost sheet to Carol for confirmation and onward transmission to decision-makers for planning.
