Board approves teacher and administrator contracts, adopts 2025–26 budget and consent agenda

The Fridley Public Schools Board unanimously approved a set of labor agreements and the district—udget for the 2025—iscal year during its June meeting at the Fridley Community Center.
The board voted to ratify a master agreement with the Fridley Education Association (teachers), to approve a master agreement for the Association of School Administrators (principals), to adopt the fiscal year 2025—udget and to accept a $1,362 gift from Fridley United Methodist Church for the family resource room. Board members also approved a lengthy consent agenda that included the district—ampus basement renovation, authorization for an investment manager, a tech refresh lease and the SRO agreements discussed earlier in the meeting.
The labor and budget votes were presented as items for immediate action after members of the teacher and principal bargaining teams spoke to the board. Aaron Cuthbert, identified as vice president of the Fridley Education Association and lead negotiator, told the board the contract "represents the path that our district administration, school board, community, and FEA have chosen to walk down together" and said the association ratified the contract unanimously. Veronica Matheson, identified as co-lead negotiator for the principals and principal at Stevenson, said the principals likewise ratified their agreement with "100%" approval.
Board member Stark moved to approve the FEA master agreement; the motion was seconded and "the motion unanimously passes," the meeting record states. Anna moved to approve the Association of School Administrators master agreement; Jones seconded and the board again approved the motion unanimously. Meisner moved to adopt the fiscal year 2025—udget; the motion passed. The board then approved the consent agenda, which included the SRO agreements and other items listed on the district genda.
Why this matters: the contracts and budget drive staffing, compensation and many district operations; the unanimous votes close a bargaining round and authorize spending and contracts the administration said are already aligned with district priorities.
Board members did not provide roll-call tallies for the unanimous votes recorded as voice votes. The meeting record shows named roll-call results for the $1,362 gift acceptance (roll-call recorded as aye votes for Anna, Jones, Carnap, Meisner and Stark). The consent agenda items were accepted in a single motion; the meeting minutes list the consent package contents but do not break out individual votes within that package.
The board indicated the same items will proceed to routine city/county processes as required (for example certain items were noted as appearing on the city council consent agendas or subject to future implementation steps).
