BVSD bond update: New Vista solar, Fairview track work and HVAC supply delays shape summer schedule

The Boulder Valley School District Board of Education on June 17 received a status update on the 2022 bond program from bond staff and the Community Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC), including construction timelines, material delays and recommendations to use bond premium for targeted accelerations.

The update, delivered by Chris Stopenhagen, the district's executive director of bond planning and construction, and John Stanton, chair of the CBOC, covered summer work at multiple campuses, the New Vista demolition and site schedule, and supply-chain-driven delays for rooftop HVAC units. "As the end of year approaches in our facilities here in BVSD, some of the excitement of summer's construction is almost palpable," Stopenhagen said during the presentation.
