Bonner County commissioners approve consent items, claims and routine agreements

The Bonner County Board of Commissioners approved routine fiscal and administrative items during its regular business meeting, including the consent agenda, payment of a large claims batch and an assessor acknowledgement.

The board approved the consent agenda, which included two confidential purchases: a technology subscription renewal for $19,279.05 and security equipment for district court costing $5,745.74. The board then approved payment of fiscal year 2025 claims in batch number 36, totaling $1,503,231.59. Comptroller Stephanie presented the claims and identified major line items including $284,000 for road and bridge (dust abatement and rock crushing), roughly $50,000 for Justice Services system updates, and approximately $636,000 for solid waste.

The board also authorized the assessor to sign an acknowledgement of receipt for a pamphlet titled "Real Estate Brokerage in Washington" from Black Commercial Inc.; Assessor Dennis Engelhardt told the board that signing does not create an obligation or fee for the county and is only an acknowledgement required under Idaho Code sections cited in his presentation.

All motions were approved by roll call with affirmative votes from the commissioners on the dais.
