The Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission adopted a resolution June 13 honoring Kristen Riggs for 25 years of service to Metro Cable.
Kristen Riggs began with the commission May 15, 2000, as programming coordinator and was promoted to production director in August 2014. Commissioners credited Riggs with leadership on closed captioning, the archive of agency meetings and mentorship of production staff. The commission read the resolution into the record and members and staff presented remarks and applause; Riggs thanked colleagues and said she preferred being "back behind the scenes" but appreciated the recognition.
The resolution passed on a voice vote.
