The Board of City Service Commissioners on June 17 approved the June 3 meeting minutes and a series of personnel actions, including classification changes, extensions of temporary appointments, a probationary extension for a public works inspector and the completion of an early-voting coordinator’s probation.
The meeting, called to order by Board President Frank Bach, included a presentation from Sarah Cinski of Compensation Services on three classification reports and several routine staff requests from city departments. “We have 3 reports for you today,” Cinski said, summarizing recommendations to repurpose and retitle vacant positions and to correct a previously filed report. The board approved Cinski’s recommendations as presented.
Why it matters: these actions change job titles, pay ranges and temporary staffing across multiple city departments and allow departments to retain temporary staff while recruitment or operational transitions continue.
