Manteca council approves amended services agreement with Griffin Structures for police department

The City Council of the City of Manteca on June 17 approved an amended services agreement between the police department and Griffin Structures, the council said during a special meeting that included one member participating by teleconference.
The amendment corrected drafting inconsistencies in the original services agreement but did not change price terms, the council was told. Vice Mayor Halford moved to approve the consent-item amendment, Council Member Moriwick seconded, and the measure passed on a roll call vote of 4-0 with Council Member Lackey absent.
During discussion the police chief explained the amendment stemmed from inconsistent wording between the draft the city approved and the version signed by Griffin Structures. The chief said the city sought and obtained a corrected signature from Dustin Alamo of Griffin Structures in advance of the meeting. The chief told the council there was no change in the contract’s price terms. The council approved the item as amended on the consent calendar.
The council noted teleconference participation by Council Member Breitenbucher and performed roll call voting for all actions taken during the teleconference session. There were no public comments on the item; the city clerk reminded speakers that public comment is limited to items on the agenda under Government Code section 54954.3(a).
After approving the consent calendar the council moved into closed session.
