At its June meeting the Marysville City Council approved a package of grants, consultant agreements and jurisdictional actions aimed at transportation, parks improvements and fire services.
Council authorized City Manager Jim Shadd to execute an agreement with the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) to accept $500,000 in Reconnecting Communities Neighborhood Program funds paired with a $5,000 city general-fund match to complete mobility studies and improvements. The council also voted to authorize a $70,510 agreement with Acorns Environmental to complete environmental review for planned improvements to Ellis Lake, work that city planners said is necessary to meet California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements before construction.
