IRPS Committee approves lease reconciliation and emergency medical contracts for Fire Rescue

The committee ratified a common-area maintenance (CAM) reconciliation for the lease at 1574 Stone Ridge Drive (Stone Mountain, Ga.) and approved amending contract 1309822 with Bridal Stone Mountain Owner LLC. The finance staff noted a clerical correction: the reconciliation total is $27,199.99 (the presented documents showed $27,199.97). Committee members characterized the action as a ratification of a prior reconciliation for 2024.
The committee also approved a change order (number 3) to contract 1246736 for emergency medical supplies, extending the term for six months through Dec. 31, 2025, and increasing authorized spending to an amount not to exceed $350,000. Purchasing staff said the contract covers roughly 185 line items from basic supplies to controlled medications and that the extension will allow time to complete a new procurement.
Separately, the committee approved purchasing an annual equipment service plan for existing EMS equipment through Sourcewell contract 41823 (Stryker Sales LLC) for an amount not to exceed $105,075.60. Staff said the service plan covers defibrillators (AEDs), stair chairs, power loaders and other critical equipment; committee members were told that establishing a formal contract should reduce repair costs compared with on-call repairs.
Each item was moved by Commissioner Shakira Johnson and seconded; committee vote results were recorded as "All in favor" and each recommendation to approve carried.
Committee Chair Ladina Bolton said the committee would defer several other Fire Rescue items to a later meeting owing to time constraints.
