Committee approves transfer of construction-and-demolition recycling agreements to new owner GFL

The committee recommended approval of Resolution 46 to consent to assignment and a landlord estoppel for the countys construction and demolition recycling facility, allowing existing agreements with Lakeshore Recycling (doing business as Badgerland Disposal) to transfer to Green For Life (GFL).
County staff member John explained the change as an asset sale: "we have an existing lease and agreement in place with a company called Lakeshore Recycling and Lakeshore all of their Wisconsin assets have been bought by a company called GFL or Green for Life. So this is simply to transfer those existing agreements over to the new ones." The committee confirmed Lakeshore is the company doing business as Badgerland Disposal in Wisconsin.
A motion by Supervisor McCarville and second by Supervisor Udell carried by voice vote with no opposition recorded in the transcript.
The resolution formalizes consent to assignment and an accompanying landlord estoppel so the operator and contract to operate the facility can continue under the new corporate owner.
