County counsel reported out after the closed session that the board met on items 37 and 39 and that the board authorized the initiation of litigation in accordance with Government Code section 54957.1. The nature of the actions, the defendants and other particulars were not disclosed at the time due to legal confidentiality rules; county counsel said that information will be disclosed if and when litigation is formally commenced and subject to the exceptions in the Brown Act.
