The six applicants listed in the council packet are Billy Baron, Melissa Terrace, Don Hedlund, Franks Marino, Aubrey Marino and Marcus Arias. Council direction was to invite each applicant to the July 1 meeting to give a short presentation (council suggested about five minutes) and to allow council questions at that meeting. Councilmembers said interviews should be public so voters and residents can hear applicants' remarks before the appointment.
What's next: Staff will notify the six applicants and place the appointment on the July 1 agenda for candidate appearances and a subsequent appointment vote.
