The City of Live Oak City Council voted to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Board for the remaining portion of a three-year term. Staff recommended Kenneth Beasley, a resident who applied; the motion to appoint was approved by voice vote.
George Curtis, the city’s development manager, told the council the city received one qualifying application from Kenneth Beasley and recommended the council appoint him. The council’s motion carried with a voice vote of “Aye.” The meeting transcript subsequently records the name of the appointee as “Mister Adeze.” The transcript therefore records both a staff recommendation for Kenneth Beasley and a recorded appointment of a person identified as “Mister Adeze.”
The council did not discuss additional conditions attached to the appointment at the time. The appointment fills a term that staff described as ending in August 2028.
Action taken: council appointed a person to the Planning and Zoning Board to serve the remainder of a three-year term; staff had recommended an applicant named Kenneth Beasley and the transcript records the name of the appointee as “Mister Adeze.”
