The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners recorded three formal actions during its June 17 meeting:
1) Approve agenda — Motion by Commissioner Powers, second by Commissioner Wakas. Recorded as unanimous; chair called for aye and the motion carried.
2) Approve consent agenda — Motion by Commissioner Wages, second by Commissioner Springer. The consent agenda included minutes from June 3; claims, per diems and meal vouchers; donations toward a sheriff’s department drone from the Kellogg American Legion Post ($2,000), Elgin Fire Department ($2,000) and Bernard Fleschey VFW Post in Lake City ($1,000); approval to purchase election machine batteries; approval of a new liquor license and renewal of an existing license; approval of the Southeast Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management Joint Powers Agreement; and the County Road 84 GRAMA application. The motion was recorded as unanimous and carried.
3) Recess to Board of Appeal and Equalization — Motion by Commissioner Watkins, seconded by Commissioner Wabi to recess to the Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting scheduled for June 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the County Boardroom. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
The meeting minutes record the votes as voice votes with no roll-call tally by name; the chair stated each motion passed after commissioners answered "aye."
