County presenters said the program has processed nearly 60 referrals and has diverted roughly half from guardianship by using supported decision‑making, resulting in cost savings to the county when guardianship (and associated court attorney costs) would otherwise apply.
The board approved extension of the grant and expressed support for filling the two positions now that grant funding is extended.
Motion: approve amendment to the supported decision‑making grant agreement to extend the grant through June 30, 2026, for the remaining balance of $173,123.01.
