The Saint Paul City Council acted on a number of routine and ceremonial items Monday, approving consent-agenda measures, recognizing community events and adopting sound-variance permits for summer events.
Key actions: - The council adopted a consent agenda (items 2–13) and separately moved and approved Version 2 of the ballot-question language directing the city clerk to place a referendum on Ordinance ORD 25-2 on the Nov. 4, 2025 ballot; councilmembers said the revised language was reviewed by the city attorney’s office to ensure clarity about what a Yes or No vote means.
- The council adopted Resolution 205-1015 honoring community partners and recognizing National Gun Violence Awareness Month in June. Councilmembers praised the Office of Neighborhood Safety and community organizations for their work and highlighted plans to follow up with presentations from the Office of Neighborhood Safety and the Saint Paul Police Department on a nonfatal gun unit.
